Hi! I am Marie.
I am a trained journalist and photographer. I love traveling and lived in US for eight years, having moved there at just 16 years old. After a bachelor's degree in literature, languages, and art (mainly film work and sculpture), I focused on photography in my journalism master's degree in New York City. Since then, for many years now, photography has been a constant companion in my turbulent, ever-changing life.
The beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic brought me back home to Germany, but I continued traveling and spent a year exploring Europe, all the while working from my solar-powered van. Throughout, I kept being drawn back to Munich — for the mixture of beautiful nature and the feeling of a big city.
By now, I have made a small place outside the city my new base. Because during all my travels and years abroad, I realized again and again how important it is to create anchors and spaces of stillness for myself. And to have a home that doesn't constantly change. Where I can just be. And truly be myself.
I still travel a lot and would love to travel to you for my photography — whichever city or country you are based in!
In my work as well as in my personal life, I am curious, open, and enthusiastic. I love to share and create meaningful moments, and I am not one for quick, superficial encounters.
Does that resonate with you? If reading about me and my work just made your gut say YES, then send me a message or schedule a call with me directly via my calendar. I can't wait to get to know you!
